Easter Message - Thank You Lord
14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3: 14-17
- Jesus died for our sins.
Luke 23:44-47

- Jesus was buried.
50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the
Council, a good and upright man, 51 who had not consented to
their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he
himself was waiting for the kingdom of God. 52 Going
to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped
it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one
had yet been laid. 54 It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about
to begin.
55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee
followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then
they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath
in obedience to the commandment. Luke

- Jesus is Risen!
1When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary
the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint
Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just
after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and
they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the
tomb?”
4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone,
which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the
tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side,
and they were alarmed.
6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for
Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the
place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples
and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just
as he told you.’”
Mark 16: 1-7
Mark 16: 1-7
9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week,
he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and
who were mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she
had seen him, they did not believe it.
12 Afterward Jesus
appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the
country. 13 These
returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them
for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had
seen him after he had risen.
15 He said to them, “Go
into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Mark 16: 9-15

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,
the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For
since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through
a man. For
as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But
each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to
him.

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where,
O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin
is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
