Today I took my class on a field trip to the Kirk Fordice Equestrian Center for a program called "Horses for Handicapped" It was a rewarding day and my students enjoyed it so much. The day was all about riding and petting horses. It was fun and I also enjoyed the view from our wagon ride. Stephen and Pierce work in the Capitol and Sillers Building!!

My Birthday Card from My Sons & Celebrations from Matt

My birthday card from my children is so special to me. I loved the sentiment and I am so thankful that they feel this way about me. The card made my day and put a smile on my face. I love them so much. Praise the Lord for my precious sons.....
What wonderful young men!

A Mother is one of life's gentlest creations,
 filled with
a warmhearted spirit
and unconditional love.

Mom
Thank you
for the warmth you show
and the time you share
for the gentle advice
and the words of comfort
you so willingly give.

Thank you
for your inspiration, your support, and your caring
for your unselfish love and your patient ways.
Thank you for so many things....
but most of all, for being such a wonderful mother.

Happy Birthday
Love,
Your Sons

Dinner at Table 100 - Thanks Matt!

For my Birthday, Matt had occasions all weekend. We took out the boat with the neighbors. We had our neighbors over Friday and Saturday nights. Brian played music and we had burgers one night and shrimp the other. We celebrated on Sunday night with Stephen, Nathan, Brian, and the Perks at Table 100. On Tuesday, my actual birthday, Matt grilled New York strips for just me and the boys. I had a wonderful time with dear people. Thank you Matt for making me feel so special. I love you!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was very special time for our family. Matt's Mom came down and spent the holiday with us. On the night she arrived Matt grilled out. The meal was extra delicious. The next day we all drove over to Brooksville to stay at the M-Club cabin and to have Easter with the rest of the family. We attended Brooksville Baptist Church. The service was centered around the Resurrection of Christ.  It was a beautiful service with familiar hymns. Judy Bolin lead the music. Lou Heard played the piano and Deborah Heard played the organ. Linda Heard Garner was Mary in the drama about Jesus's resurrection. After church we went to my parent's home for lunch. Mama amazed my MIL with the flowers, and the meal that she prepared for the family. It was such a blessing to see both of my brothers and my SILs. Chrissy and Keith had two of their children, Sam and Katie, home for Easter. Daddy was so happy to have us all there. Daddy got birthday hugs and kisses and so did Neely. Stephen and Nathan had a happy surprise for Easter which was a canoe!! Matt, his Mom, and I spent the rest of the afternoon working on the cabin. Tiny and Lou came over to the M-Club to have Sauce Pecan for supper with us. We were so happy to be able to stay until Monday morning. What a wonderful Holiday!

Keith sent us a meal. Matt is cutting up the smoked ham.
We also had collard greens and butter beans. Yum.

Full Moon

1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” Mark 16:1-7
