MCHS Graduation - Goodbye to Colleagues
Graduation was my last duty for Madison Central High School. It was great seeing my colleagues one more time as a teacher for MCHS. I will always appreciate the faculty there and cherish the memories of them. Each of them has taught me something about education. I will be a better teacher because of my time and experiences with them. We had an expectation of excellence that I will bring with me to my next school. Thank you MCHS! There is Jaguar Pride in the Jungle.

Memphis Trip
We had a great trip last weekend. We took our neighbors Cliff and Melissa to Matt's old stomping ground, Southaven and Memphis. We had a blast. Brian (Fester) McLaughlin invited us up for "Festivus" as he calls it. We arrived at Fester's Friday night and he grilled out for us. We had grilled chicken wings, and other goodies. Then Matt and I went to his Mom's and stayed with her. Cliff and Melissa stayed with Fes. The next morning we visited Graceland and had lunch there at the car museum. Elvis must have liked salty meatloaf is all I can say about that. Graceland is such a special place to Matt and I. Matt's mom gave us tickets so we could tour and remember our wedding there. After lunch we went back to Southaven to hang out with Fester and Matt's Mom. It was fun to hang out in her back yard. After that we met my nephew Richard, Katie, and my great niece Kirksey at the Peobody to watch the ducks. It was great seeing them and seeing how much Kirksey has grown. The whole group went to the Rendezvous for BBQ ribs! So great! Dr. Richard Heard was on call so they left and the rest of us went to Beale Street to hear some Blues. Boy did we....The Patrick Dodd Trio was playing at Mr. Handy's Blues Hall.....Fantastic & Fun! The next day Matt and I went to lunch with Marianne (MIL) and guess what we had? BBQ! Why not we were in Memphis! I loved it and it was delicious. We went to the Memphis BBQ Co. and they were proud that they had just won every competition at Memphis in May BBQ Fest. Thanks to Brian and my Mom-In-Law we had a great time.
