Snow Day Ice Cream

This week we had snow! There was just enough accumulation to have a late start for the school day. The district decided that we would have school even with snow on the ground so we arrived at 9:30 instead of our usual 7:00 start. The students were begging to go outside to play in the snow and it was melting so fast that the ground was a mushy muddy mess.  Lori, one of my team teachers, decided to celebrate the snow that we would have snow ice cream! The students loved it!!! I was sent to the store for enough ingredients for three classes to make the treat. Each teacher took turns going out to gather enough snow. There are not many days like this in Mississippi!

It is a simple recipe:

Snow
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Vanilla Flavoring

Stir the ingredients until smooth! Then enjoy making a memory.
